How It Works

There isn't much asked of you. If something of yours has met an audience in public, on Letterboxd, on YouTube, anywhere people leave their responses, there is already a record of how that work was received. I read it closely, the way you would read it if you had the time and the distance, and return what I find.

What I would ask of you is only this:

  1. What would you like me to look at.
  2. Over what period.
  3. Is there anything you are curious to learn from it. Or would you rather just receive the reflection, with no question attached. Either answer is complete.

This is offered freely, in service of the work. The response to your work belongs to you. I am only gathering it into one place so you can see it.

The work is easiest to understand by seeing one. The study below was built around a fabricated production company and titles, so that no real artist's reception is ever shown in public. It is here to show the shape of the thing, not the substance of anyone's work.

If you would like a reflection, or simply want to ask what one would look like for your work, that is the next step.
